Merry Christmas

A child is born in Bethlehan,

come, rejoice.

 

Let grateful hearts now sing,

a song of joy and holy praise.

Waiting

 

Let the heavens drop down
gentle showers,

let the clouds rain down
the Just One,

and let the earth bring forth
a Savior.

Its not what you do but what

 God can do through you.

This would have been your 59th birthday.  My thoughts and prayers are always with you, mom and dad.  Blessings to you all.  Remember me.

When we listen to your words,

our minds are filled with light.

Hail Mary, full of grace.

I am thine, all thine and all I have is thine.

Father, you sent to us your word

as the sun of truth and justice

shining upon mankind. 

Illumine our eyes

that we may discern your glory

in the many works of your hand.

Christ, rising sun, warm us with your rays.

Christ is the sun that never sets,

the true light that shines

on every man.

Prayer

We have time and prayer backwards. We think time determines prayer, but prayer determines time. We think our lack of time is the cause of our lack of prayer, but our lack of prayer is the cause of our lack of time.

Good Shepherd,

you have given life

and light today, help us to be

grateful for these gifts.

You are precious in God's eyes.

In all people reveal

the victory of your cross.

who had a debt

we could not pay.

the secrets of our hearts,

fill them with the light of truth.

The Magi saw his star and rejoiced

to lay their treasures at his feet.

Mary the dawn, Christ the Perfect Day;
Mary the gate, Christ the Heavenly Way!
Mary the root, Christ the Mystic Vine;
Mary the grace, Christ the Sacred Wine!
Mary the wheat, Christ the Living Bread;
Mary the stem, Christ the Rose blood-red!
Mary the font, Christ the Cleansing Flood;
Mary the cup, Christ the Saving Blood!
Mary the temple, Christ the temple’s Lord;
Mary the shrine, Christ the God adored!
Mary the beacon, Christ the Haven’s Rest;
Mary the mirror, Christ the Vision Blest!
Mary the mother, Christ the mother’s Son
By all things blest while endless ages run.
